Lyndsey @ The Mend Collective

Clinical Philosophy

There are endless factors contributing to the suffering in our world today. We are filled to the brim with longings, desires, griefs, joys, wonders, and stories we’ve been carrying around since we were young or ones we’ve picked up along the way. Many of the pains we carry can feel out of our control and keep us feeling stuck or unfulfilled. It is my hope to help you find a way to move through the hard places. To process. To grow. To heal. To know and experience the life you desire and the relationships you want. A therapeutic relationship allows space for unconscious processes and patterns to become conscious. Through greater awareness, we can find more thoughtful and aligned ways of engaging and responding in our lives.

I believe we have the potential to live beautiful, vibrant lives, interconnected with the earth, our communities, and those who have come before us. It would be an honor to share this space with you.

About me

I am an LCSW-A and received my Masters Degree in clinical social work from Western Carolina University in the spring of 2025. Throughout my MSW program, I worked as the clinical Intern at The Mend Collective and have been working with clients since 2023. Before my work as a psychotherapist, I spent over a decade working with children and families as an educator, teacher mentor and birth doula.  My clinical approach is embodied, psychodynamic, process oriented, and collaborative through intentional presence and trust in your inherent dignity and worth. I utilize principles informed by Acceptance and Commitment therapy, mindfulness practices, attachment theory, Internal Family systems and depth psychology. This process looks different for every person, and I find these differences to be quite beautiful.  We will work together to find a framework that feels supportive and best for you.

I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and groups. My approach is trauma-informed, healing centered, and growth oriented. My experience informs work around childhood and religious trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, complex trauma, spiritual explorations, identity, divorce, birth/death thresholds, psychedelic integration, and relationship dynamics. I have extensive experience working with children and families through pivotal growing points. As well as supporting folks through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and transformative justice oriented.
