Inclusive treatment and community practices

Race, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, dis/ability, body size,  socioeconomic history, and cultural background intersect to shape our identities and how we engage with, are perceived, and treated in the world.  The Mend Collective recognizes the value and power in who you are, as you are.  We welcome you here in this space. 

We are committed to engaging in our own ongoing work to understand the nuances of various lived experiences that are different than our own.   We commit to continuing to examine internalized prejudice, isms & phobias.  We confront and work to dismantle systems of privilege, ableism, stigma, injustices rooted in systemic oppression.  As a collective, we want to uplift and promote minority based therapists and can help with identifying local therapeutic options if you are struggling to find a provider.
