My philosophy

Life has a way of asking us to grow, often before we feel ready. Sometimes that looks like a new job, a shift in relationships, other  major life changes, or simply realizing that what once worked for us no longer does. These moments can be uncomfortable, but they are also opportunities to learn more about ourselves and who we want to become. Therapy is not about having all the answers. I believe it is about having a space to be honest with yourself, explore what's weighing on you, and figure out what feels right for your life.

My Path to this work

Born and raised in Western North Carolina, I have always been drawn to connection, community, and caring for others. Before becoming a therapist, I used my own lived experience supporting others as a mental health Certified Peer Support Specialist. That lived experience continues to shape the way I approach my work today. I have learned that people are far more than the hardest things they have been through. It also taught me that change does not happen just because someone tells us what to do. Change happens when we feel safe enough to be honest with ourselves and supported enough to take the next step. As a biracial Black woman , I understand how being a member of a marginalized community influences the way we move through the world. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for creating spaces where people feel respected, valued, and accepted as they are.

I am a first-generation college graduate who earned both my Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degrees from Western Carolina University.

The Way we'll work togehter

There is not one right way to approach therapy because no two people are the same. I am not here to tell you who to be or what choices to make. Instead, I offer a space where you can explore who you are, connect to your values, and embrace what comes next. While my work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches, the most meaningful work happens through authenticity, trust, and genuine human connection.
