I work with clients ages 10+, primarily with problems related to ADHD, depression,
anxiety, low self-esteem and parental/peer conflict. Therapy with me is action-based
and goal-centered. It takes a dual focus on tackling current problems to produce
immediate results, combined with a longer-term focus on building the future you want
for yourself. To keep things light while we work together, we play games, listen to music,
draw, color, paint, and walk and talk when the weather’s right. I cook people in Uno for a
living. Make no mistake, my style is warm, but no mercy will be shown. Bring your A
game.
If you like therapeutic jargon, please enjoy this paragraph. If not, maybe ask ChatGPT
to summarize it? During sessions, we use a blend of evidence-based techniques
borrowed from popular frameworks like solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive
behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. We set goals together, determine
action steps, overcome barriers to success, and establish clear purpose and motivation
for goal achievement. You will learn skills that are practical and relevant to your
treatment plan on topics like ADHD, executive functioning, effective communication,
interpersonal conflict, emotional regulation, and impulse control. Sessions are
client-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in core values of warmth, genuineness,
positivity, empathy, and respect.
Empathetic, chill, funny, sometimes unprofessional. Ask me about my pet Monkey. Diehard
sports fan. I swear, if I was only two feet taller, I’d be playing in the NBA right now.
While nomadically moving up and down the East Coast, from MA to CT to Nova Scotia to FL to
NC, I learned something really important. Everybody, everywhere, needs some sort of support.
Yet, not everybody gets it when they need it. The world is full of good people who want you to
succeed; I’m one of those people. Smash that big blue button at the bottom for a free
consultation so we can move forward. The vibe is casual; the focus is on you living your best
life, present and future. When we meet, please relax, be yourself, and get comfortable. It’s the
best way to approach therapy.
